All meetings and most events are open to non-members but attendees are highly encouraged to officially join to gain all the benefits the Accounting Club has to offer. Membership is open to all graduate and undergraduate with a declared interest in the accounting profession. To become a member students must fill out an IMA application and pay an $80 new member fee which $25 is for IMA dues. In following years members just have to pay the $25 IMA fee. As a member of an IMA student chapter, students can attend parent chapter meetings for no additional fee and students get a subscription to the magazine "Strategic Finance."
Students can pick up applications at the Accounting Club first monthly meeting September 12th, the School of Accountancy Office in Glass 439, or the Accounting Club office in Glass 422. The application can also be downloaded below and printed out at anytime. The application with the $80 fee can be turned into the School of Accountancy office, the Accounting Club office, Dr. Olen Greer in Glass 423, or any of the Accounting Club meetings.
Students can pay by cash, check (Payable to Account Club), or a credit card. When paying cash or check, make sure to have your ACC Club & IMA Application filled out. Return both the application and payment to an officer or Dr. Greer at either a meeting or during office hours.
If you are wanting to pay by card, you MUST RETURN APPLICATION TO AN OFFICER or else you will not be an active member. When you return the application, an officer will show you how to pay with a card. Any credit cards payments will have a processing fee added to the application or renew fee.
